An Oklahoma veterans organization gave back to their community this month by supporting the construction of a new playground.
The Military Order of the World Wars’ Lawton, Oklahoma chapter made a generous donation of $7,000 to Children United of Southwest Oklahoma, supporting the construction of a brand new playground.

The all inclusive playground is set to be built at Elmer Thomas Park, reported ABC 7 News.
“I always think it’s important for particularly a veteran organization like we are to give back to the community and to the citizens, the youth programs we support,” said Lt. Col. Michael S. George, the Chapter Commander.
The Military Order of the World Wars’ Lawton, Oklahoma chapter will also be hosting Dancing for Children United fundraiser, an event benefiting the same organization, on April 18th.
