Retired US Marine Colonel Carl Cooper served in three wars – WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. This week, he celebrated his 100th birthday, and he’s willing to share some secrets on how to live such a long life.  

“I don’t feel how I felt when I played football in college but I feel great,” Cooper said to WVTM 13.

“I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and the rest of it… I trust in the good lord and help my fellow man as much as I can. I keep going.”

In addition to his healthy lifestyle and faith in god, Cooper stays active by keeping up with his yard, mowing the grass with the help of a riding mower and even keeping a few rows of vegetables in his backyard.
