Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed on March 29th. Although many celebrations have been postponed due to the current pandemic, veterans and civilians alike are still encouraged to reflect on the meaning of this holiday and the sacrifices made by those who served.
“Now’s the time to remind us of who we are and what we accomplished,” said retired Marine Corps Colonel and Medal of Honor recipient Barney Barnum.
“It’s a time for Vietnam vets to reevaluate… and be proud of it. Be proud that you served. And for god’s sake don’t be afraid to talk about it,” he continued.
“Tell people what you did over there. Tell people what you saw. “
