In response to the COVID 19 virus and the guidelines set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Veterans Affairs has postponed all Vietnam War commemoration events until further notice.
The Department of Defense and VA had hundreds of events planned for late March and early April in honor of the Vietnam War’s 50th anniversary on March 29th.
All commemorative lapel pins and other event-related items will be kept by the VA’s event coordinators to support events in the future. It is not yet known when these events may be rescheduled.
Any veterans with a Facebook account can still participate in 50th anniversary celebrations this month by adding a Vietnam War Veteran frame to the profile picture. To download, click here.
