Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau, Wisconsin will host a tribute to 5 WWII veterans with missing grave markers later this month.

The cemetery will set up a display from May 22nd-May 25th so that the public can pay their respects to to veterans: Walter Schroeder, Charles Trettin, Milton Nass, Norman Rust and Loren Brunsman, reported Wausau Pilot & Review.

Originally, the cemetery planned to host the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard to present military colors in honor of the five veterans whose markers were missing until November 2019, but those plans were cancelled due to COVID-19.

The grave markers and tribute will be set up around the flag pole on the front lawn of the cemetery and will be placed on the veterans’ graves after May 25th.
