Veterans In Trucking announces its collaboration with Waypoint Vets, FASTPORT, and Wreaths Across America to send veterans on a remarkable journey.

In an impactful initiative that combines tribute, travel, and camaraderie, Veterans in Trucking is partnering with Waypoint Vets, FASTPORT, and Wreaths Across America to present Mission Veteran Expedition.

On November 4, a group of Vietnam veterans within the transportation industry and supporting staff members will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Vietnam.

Led by Waypoint Vets, participating veterans will experience an all-expense paid, guided retreat of Vietnam’s monuments, museums, and magnificent landscapes. The trip will combine a variety of outdoor excursions with depth and reflection to deliver a meaningful and lasting experience. Waypoint Vets is a non-profit organization with a mission of Uniting and Empowering veterans through camaraderie and adventure.

Some trip highlights include:

  • War Legacies briefing at US Consulate & Tour of former US Embassy Saigon
  • Grounds tour and briefing by Yasmeen Hibrawi, Political-Military Officer
  • Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta Luxury Tour
  • War Remnants Museum
  • 2-Night Halong Bay Cruise
  • Defense POW / MIA Accounting Agency Tour

FASTPORT and Wreaths Across America have also partnered with us for this expedition and will be sending members of their team on the trip.

Mission Veteran Expedition aims not only to commemorate the valiant contributions of these veterans but also to provide them with the chance to experience the beauty of Vietnam’s landscapes and the richness of its culture.

For many veterans who served in Vietnam during times of conflict, the memories associated with the country are often intertwined with the challenges of war. The Mission Veteran Expedition seeks to redefine these associations and replace them with new, healing memories. This expedition goes beyond being just a trip; it’s an emotional journey of closure and rediscovery.

By engaging with Vietnam on a deep, personal level we anticipate the trip will forge lasting connections and help veterans find solace in the beauty of a nation at peace.

All are invited to join hands in honoring these veterans as they embark on this remarkable adventure.
