Jim “Pee Wee” Martin was a member of the US Army 101st Airborne Division during World War II. He made jumps on Normandy, Holland, and the Battle of the Bulge during his time in the Army.

Now, Martin is 98-years-old, but he doesn’t let his age get in the way of his goals. Martin still jumps from planes, but instead of doing it for his country, he does it just for fun.

Martin credits the team at the Dayton VA Medical Center for helping him stay healthy and achieve his jumping goals.

“Just because I’m 98 don’t mean a thing,” Martin said in an interview with the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

“Don’t run your life by a clock. Your attitude will help your physical condition… no matter what your age.”
