The Veterans In Trucking organization was thrilled to partner with the Mid-America Trucking Show in 2023! And as a tribute to the brave heroes of our nation: We featured trucks with patriotic wraps that celebrated drivers’ branch and service.
At the VIT Grand Showcase, companies in participation exhibited their personalized truck wraps as a tribute to their chosen veteran drivers. This event serves as a remarkable chance for the industry to witness these magnificent and patriotic truck designs, while also expressing gratitude to those who are currently serving our country behind the wheel.

People’s Choice Award Winner
At the Grand Showcase event, attendees were presented with an exciting opportunity to participate in the selection of the People’s Choice Award. They were given the chance to choose their favorite rig among the presented options.
Trucking Proz took home the People’s Choice prize again this year: But this year’s wrap theme was in solemn commemoration of POW’s and those missing in action, using a combination of scenes from American military conflict theaters. VIT honors their choice of recognition for America’s heroes.
Wrap designer Jason Nesbitt commented that, “We love our veterans. At the end of the day they are our true heroes.” Of our POW’s he says that, This is simply a way to honor their memories. Every time eyes are laid on that truck- that represents those that never came home, that their memory is not forgotten.
Wreaths Across America
Our industry holds an immense sense of honor and allegiance to our veteran drivers, and to showcase this, we showcased personalized trucks on the exhibition floor of MATS. We also hosted a Wreaths Across America wreath making demonstration.
For those not familiar with their mission, Wreaths Across America places wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers in Arlington Cemetery around Christmas time every year.
We also featured Clean Harbors’ Wreaths Across America wrapped truck. Their team presented Army veteran Rob Roy with the keys to the truck during the VIT Showcase ceremony.

I love the fact that VIT and CDLLife put this event on; I think it’s an amazing tribute to veterans. It’s an absolute pleasure to be associated with companies that worked hard for this. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate veterans that may have never had that thanks.
